Leave to Samosa via Virus

Last week Big Bro and Bhibhi (his wife) planned Goa trip. I was supposed to give company to alone (Since papa is also on long tour.) mummy at home for today and tomorrow. Due to bad weather conditions, bro postpone their plan. Therefore, even if I was on leave, I decided to cancel my leaves and join office. I came in office at around 9:45, unlocked machine that I put on virus scan on Friday. Blah! My machine was virus infected…  and there wore some Virus security related mail in inbox. I was blank for a while. I thought that I might need to surrender my machine to the team who manages all installations related tasks. I opened control panel and removed all unnecessary software, which I am not using for current project. However, unfortunately (or fortunately) I was not single victim of the virus attack. I put my machine for virus scan. Your machine or antivirus company would be awarded as “Golden Performer of The Millennium” if you machine performance is not affected due to online scanning and you are able to carry on your work without any frustration. Neither my machine nor antivirus provider Company is “Golden Performer of The Millennium”.

It was around 11am. Open the task assigned to me (which I assigned to myself on Friday). Started digging into it. No luck. I was not able to trace anything into it. I created data setup and executed the process for two-three times. Every time it was failing due to either reason. After trying hard, I decided to consult with Business analyst. He suggested some steps. Few steps worked and with few, I am still struggling. By the end of day BA suggested that do not be panic, we will seat together.

Virus scanning was still running. After end of scanning, I came to know that we need 23Lack files to be properly setup on machine. At around 4:15pm, we (my friends and me) decided to go for coffee. While going for coffee, my roommate met me. He was leaving office for the day. I asked him, “Are you leaving now. It’s too early!” He replied, “I don’t have any work. See you at home”. I said OK and I left with friends for coffee.

While coming from home, I have brought my cousin with me for study and time pass. He stay alone whole day at flat. When my roommate reached home, he knocked door. Nevertheless, cousin did not respond for around 5-10min. Therefore, he called me.

Roommate: “Hello”.
Me: Hello.
Roommate: Is your cousin in flat?
Me: Yes. What happened?
Roommate: I knocked door for around 10min but he did not respond.
Me: (I was little bit shock because last time my cousin told me that he never sleeps in day.) Oh really! He must be in sleep. Try for some more time.
Roommate: OK.

After around 20min, Roommate called me again.

Me: Hello
Roommate: Hello! Still he has not opened door. House cleaner is here. What should I do? You please come here.

I did some conversation with him and put off call. This time I was really scared. So first up all I decided to call at home to know about his sleeping habit. His parents? Oh no, they will start worrying about him. Finally, I called my elder brother who knows more about him. He confirmed me that cousin has very deep sleep. This confirmation was relief for me. I called back to roommate and told not to worry. Just keep trying! By the time, I was more scared and started worrying about him. After 10 min, I decide to go on the flat. I took bike from parking came at main road. I was thinking about him continuously. I was waiting for green signal. Suddenly mobile rang again. It was call of my roommate again.

Me: Hello!
Roommate: He woke up.
Me: Good..! I have left office to come there but now I think no need to come there. Right? Or should I come?
Roommate: yeah. If you have work then don’t come.
Me: OK. I may have to wait till 9pm.
Roommate: OK. No problem.

I was feeling hungry now. Therefore, I thought that I would get something like samosa from our favorite place. Turned bike and reached to samosa place..! This time also fate was not with me. It was closed. I became very nervous. Finally, I concluded that today is not good for me. Anything can go wrong with me anytime today! Hereafter if anything goes wrong today then, I should not worry because see previous statement!
