Aman Ki Aasha

When it was clear that India and Pakistan Cricket teams are coming on ground for semi-final match, its was just purely cricket. Its has been most awaited match for every cricket lover in the world. Indo-Pak matches are most exciting matches for every Indian and Pakistani. It brings lots of Patriotism about own nation. Emails, sms Inboxes and “Puneri Patya’s” start filling with lots of match related contents. Every employee start thinking about either leave or comp-off or  holiday on match day. If you don’t have TV/Cable connection, no problem!!! You can enjoy this match at the place you could think of. Office, Chauk, Restaurant, canteen, park, etc., etc..! Everywhere you will hear about match only.

This time, Indo-Pak cricket match broke all records of discussions, hype and commercials. Everyone was thinking about this match only. There was just a single line of update on winning of Shrilanka team in semi-final match. Shrilankan must have thinking like “If you are done then can we decide about what to do with World Cup trophy?”

amankiashaWell, well, this was all about cricket. Now, I wanna come to most important aspect and thing happened due to this match. I strongly feel that this match have broken the iceberg between Indian and Pakistani’s bitter relationships. We, Indian and Pakistani’s, have same language, same kind of people. We have same kind of land and same kind of nourishing weather. We have same problem and common solutions to these problems. Just one border and extremism is separating us. Its acting like biggest barrier between our development and peace. We started so many talks and each has been stopped due to either reason(like terrorism). We(Indian and Pakistani’s) have to decide and fight against common problem like terrorism, poverty, corruption, unemployment. We have to nurture our strengths like talent, manpower, diversity and culture. We have to learn to respect each others feeling. I strongly feel that 40% of this change will bring golden days in South Asian Countries.
Its not gonna be one day change. We have to keep penitence. We have to trust each other and make others trust true. I hope, it has started on the occasion of this cricket match. Because of this, Even though India has win this match, its more than World Cup Final Win-win  situation for both of us.

I am hoping for “Aman Ki Aasha” and abide to respect each others and make each others trust true.  Are you with me? Just try to put your thought in Blog, email, social networking sites. I would love to hear from you!

  1. Even I payed attention to the last part of each innings of the match online while I was at work Wednesday... Definitely a more tense game than most.

I know what you mean about how similar the two countries are. My mother-in-law was actually born in Karachi just before Partition, and when some of her relatives come for lunch they talk about being young kids in what later became Pakistan.

Another of my Indian friends went for a friend's wedding there and commented that if she closed her eyes, to not see the Urdu-only signs, it sounded, smelled, tasted and felt exactly like an Indian city.
